As a legitimate business, we do need to recover expenses from overhead, labor and equipment costs, plus add an ethical professional profit. However, at Solid Grounds Lawn Care, we are not about charging outrageous prices. We develop personal relationships with our clients and want to ensure they are confident in us. We seek to hopefully do business with our clients on a long-term basis.

We totally understand that some of our clients prefer having their lawns mowed on a particular day of the week; however, to more efficiently serve our clients, we schedule our mowing services based on geographical routes.

Our lawn technicians will make every effort to accommodate your busy schedule and unique needs. However, our routes greatly depend on your location. Please contact us regarding any service rescheduling.

In the event of an inclement weather forecast, we will either mow one day earlier if there is a strong chance of rain or mow your yard after the rain stops and the ground is not too saturated. In the event that we need to reschedule an appointment, you will be notified via email and/or text. This notification will let you know your new service day.

For the safety of your animals, as well as for our lawn technicians, we ask that you please make sure that all pets are securely put away.

No, unfortunately we do not perform those services.  You should contact a licensed tree cutting company for such.  We can however trim minor branches from trees.

We do not…yet.  In order to do so, we must obtain the proper certifications to become licensed to do so.  We are currently in class to obtain these and will be licensed to do so by Summer 2020.

As of now, we do not.  Because we take our industry seriously, we must become certified to do so.  We are currently in class to obtain the proper training and licensing and will be licensed to do so by Summer 2020.

Our standard lawn service includes mowing, line-trimming (weed-whacking) the foundation of the home and fence lines and any hard to reach areas, and blower cleaning grass clippings from sidewalks, driveways, etc.  Any additional services such as edging, collection of sticks and trash, etc. can be requested as an additional service on the proposal.

Lawn edging is the process of cutting an edge along your driveways and sidewalks.  This requires a special tool which has a sharp spinning blade.  We price it separately from the lawn mowing rate because some of our clients to not have sidewalks or surfaces to be edged.  Edging is a flat monthly fee which includes edging as often as needed (in conjunction with your lawn service visit).

We do not.  We use lawn mowers that are designed to recycle the clippings into your lawn.  Grass clippings are an excellent source of nutrients to help your lawn grow thick and beautiful!  The clippings decompose and the nutrients are absorbed by your lawn and are the very best compost for building long-term highly organic soil.  Think of it as free fertilizer!

When a lawn becomes overgrown, additional resources are required to maintain it. As an example, the lawn will require several additional passes to mow the tall grass, which results in increased labor and fuel charges. For this reason, we will charge an ‘overgrown fee’ if the grass height exceeds 6” tall at the time of service.
If you are consistently receiving ‘overgrown fees’, we should likely consider adjusting either your mowing schedule, or any fertilizer/feeding schedules and amounts.

We ask that you clear your lawn of any yard debris such as pet droppings, pet toys/bones, large rocks, children’s toys, furniture and/or other items on scheduled days, unlock any gates/access points, and keep your pets inside. It is our company policy to ensure we fully close all gates upon our departure.

For sake of liability, we cannot physically move your trampoline, however our team will mow around and under it as much as possible.
